| Since is $45 and that is less than 25% cost of electrophysics ct33 I bought one today. Since my boat is on trailer beside house and since is J boat I tested it. Knowing in advance wet, dry and recored areas helped. Short answer is "Yes this works" Longer answer is a bit more complicated. It has settings for drywall, concrete, softwood, hardwood. The wet area on stbd cockpit seat showed higher and the recored port cockpit seat lower. The hull showed low as expected and the af paint gave immediately below waterline a slightly higher number. On coach roof the contoured areas tended to give unit a harder time. Also translating the numbers when set for concrete or softwood to actual percentages is something to be learned. There was no setting for sandwich grp construction boat, nor was there a C&C or a J boat setting. Overall I am pleased. For the price is awesome tool It far exceeded my expectations Note that I had a coworker whose father is a marine surveyor check the advert first and he said should be fine Mike
