My car toy is a 1971 Porsche 911. Rebuilt the motor myself. Very bare sports car, weighs under 2000 lbs and handles like a slot car. Alas, It was in my garage when one of our hurricanes blew a tree down on top of the garage. Garage was a total loss, but I got the car out from under it all. Destroyed the paint work and lots of dents and scratches. It been sitting inactive waiting for me to get the motivation to go through another restoration. I'll get to it eventually but I'm having too much fun with the boat these days. Interesting that there is a common interest with sports cars and boats among the group. 2005 Lotus Elise here, but have owned 5 different Porsches, a Vette, '66 Maserati, Mini, BMW, and I use to buy and restore numerous old Triumphs and MG's. The boat connection here is that running down electric issues on a boat isn't too dissimilar that working through those on a boat. At least Lucas didn't do the electrics on the boat, but sometimes I wonder. On Thu, Apr 18, 2013 at 4:49 PM, Knowles Rich <r...@sailpower.ca> wrote: 1996 BMW Z3.
