Just to reinforce Dennis' comment; many boats pick up waterline length when heeling and thus increase potential boat speed.Also keep in mind that unless it's GPS speed, speedo's can have error. We had a boat in the marina that could do 0.5kt while sitting at the dock!RonWild CheriC&C 30STL
