If you keep your fuel clean and pure – use an aircraft filter when filling the 
tank, change the O-ring on the filler cap every year – fuel filters can last a 
long time. 

I went more than two years, probably with 300-plus hours on the diesel, and 
found both filters to be as good as new. I don’t know how long the filter 
material is good for, so I went ahead and changed them anyway.

Hi,

I have a simpler question: How often do you replace (or service) the fuel 
filter? Once a season? Every 50 or 100 h?

It is a messy job, so obviously less often is easier, but certainly not better.
