I am new to this board. I am looking hard at a 40 C&C. She comes with the tall mast and a 7' draft, and surveys very well. She will be berthed in the Annapolis area. I work in Annapolis a couple of weeks out of the year and am looking for a live aboard that I can sail.
I am hearing mixed signals about that draft. How hard will a 7' draft be in that area? I have a home in Morehead City, NC. How difficult will that draft be in the ICW? I know I will have to pay attention to the charts and depth meter, but is it an impossible issue or just requires greater attention. I am willing to admit that I have a boat crush on her.
