Almost none of them opens on demand. Usually, it's every 30 minutes. That means 
if you miss the opening due to an adverse tide, you spend 30 minutes circling 
while awaiting the next opening.

Most of the scenery is zillion-dollar homes, which can be fascinating and 
aggravating at the same time.

There is something fascinating about any river or waterway on a big boat. It's

But, you know what, with a C&C 40, there is no reason for you to be motoring 
down the ICW in Florida. You should be out on the ocean. Major ports allow you 
plenty of opportunities to stop and see the sights.

I've always marveled at seeing these huge cruising boats motoring down the
