Peter -- welcome to the best place for all things C&C! (And thanks to Stu for
making it all possible.)

+1 on Martin's suggestion for using Blue Sea Systems panels. I used to be an
ABYC-certified boat electrical guy, and have installed quite a lot of Blue Sea
gear, all of it top notch. Make sure to get a really good plan in place for
your new electrical system; and also, now would be the time to redo the
high-current side of things (i.e., get rid of the 1-2-Both-Off battery switch,
and move towards one large house bank and a separate, isolated start battery).
Rich Knowles, myself and others on this list have quite a bit of experience in
this area, and can help out with suggestions.

Also, congrats on the 30mkI purchase; that was my first boat, and one that I
still hold a great deal of fondness for. I replaced the panel and redid the
electrical systems on mine when I owned her; a really nice upgrade and a big
step toward reliability of the boat in all conditions.
