Thanks Jimmy, your first point is why I raised the question. All of this
was prompted by reading a blog from a boater who said, essentially, "any
size can go anywhere, provided you have the patience to wait for the right
weather". So I will sit in Silva Bay or Clam Bay or wherever for a day or
two if necessary. I've been in SB several times on other boats so know
enough to be careful, have Garmin chart-plotter and paper charts. The short
waterline is a bit of a problem with hobby-horsing in a sea if you are
using the o/b, and you can more easily round-up in a strong wind. Hadn't
thought about hot drinks. Patrick
