One way to prevent or limit "rock and roll" is to move the sheet forward and 
the pole down. This is easy to do if you do dip pole gybes using a sheet and 
guy on each side. Instead of using the sheet, use the guy for sheeting. That 
pulls the clew down, and you can then move the pole lower on the mast to make 
the clews even. The force on the spinnaker is lowered, and the boat is more 
stable.
