After reading a few posts on the B331 and its Volvo diesel, I guess I
will pile on. Ah, don't have any experience about the Volvo diesel. A
little with a gas Volvo Penta....don't use anything other than Volvo
spark plugs.
But here's a B331 story.... a club member bought a brand new
B331....second year, he was sailing in about 12 to 14 knts true.....130
% high cut roller headsail....his 'stem plate' pulled out of the deck
about 2 inches. .......B331 "FOR SALE".

Don't know about the Volvo diesel, but the B331 is a pig under sail.
Make sure you get a good sea trial so you know what you're getting
into before you lay down a bunch of dough.

Good engines, parts are very expensive.

Subject: Stus-List Volvo Diesel - opinions?
I am looking into a larger boat purchase and found a Beneteau 331 with Volvo
engine.
I would be interested in hearing opinions about these engines especially in
Toronto area - availability of decent service, parts,
etc.
Will appreciate all opinions including remarks about "cata-bene-huntalinas"
:)
