For anyone who,s interested, I made it to Ft Lauderdale safe and sound with little trauma. I highly recommend finding other C&C-ers in the area you're transiting. I got to have a very pleasant few drinks and a highly illuminating conversation with Rick Brass in Beaufort while we stopped overnight. I'm looking forward to sailing with you in my neck of the woods one day, Rick.
