Liz,
I would search fro throat microphones for 2-way radios. Google shows a bunch
for around $40 and up. One of the first that popped up was this one:
http://www.plusbuyer.com/throat-microphone-for-walkie-talkies-p-2020.html. Have
no clue if it works (or how well), but they claim it is weather-proof.
When you search, be careful, because I found that many are designed for people
who are on a respirator, so they are designed for indoor environment.
A good source would be motor-bike shops.
