I've only used cetol on a previous boat. Looked nice. ...and last year I had to build new handrails. I went with epiphanies varnish. Looks amazing but we'll require a couple of coats a year.
Sorry, I have not heard of the plasteak. It's that like the composite wood they make decks out of now? I bet if it is, you couldn't tell the difference from 10' away :-) From my Android phone -------- Original message -------- From: John irvin <[email protected]> Date: 01/19/2014 8:22 PM (GMT-05:00) To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Stus-List Hand rails for C&C33 I might be interested - 27 MKIII. They are leaking, but also need to be refinished and I'd prefer to not have to sand and apply 5-6 coats of Cetol. Has anyone tried the 'Plasteak' had rails on deck? If so, are you happy with the results or do they look cheap, and obviously plastic? Leaking problems? I have heard mixed reports of replacing handrails with stainless steel, although I like the zero maintenance factor. Annette & Jeff C&C 33 Ohana VI Frenchman's Bay, Lake Ontario
