I've only used cetol on a previous boat.  Looked nice.

...and last year I had to build new handrails.  I went with epiphanies varnish. 
 Looks amazing but we'll require a couple of coats a year.

Sorry, I have not heard of the plasteak.  It's that like the composite wood 
they make decks out of now?  I bet if it is, you couldn't tell the difference 
from 10' away :-)

Hi folks:

Our original teak handrails on deck are in need of attention.  They are 
leaking, but also need to be refinished and I'd prefer to not have to sand and 
apply 5-6 coats of Cetol.

Has anyone tried the 'Plasteak' had rails on deck?  If so, are you happy with 
the results or do they look cheap, and obviously plastic?  Leaking problems? 

I have heard mixed reports of replacing handrails with stainless steel, 
although I like the zero maintenance factor.
