Marek, You got a good deal! Don't forget, a 40 probably has over twice the sail area as a 27. Sails for a Catalina 38 are about 2k each from Rolly Tasker. (They are stock sails with prices on-line) A 40 tall rig with custom sails will probably start at 2500 each from an offshore loft. I may have been a little high, but not by more than 1 boat buck. It still looks like its worth checking it out.
