Greetings everyone. First time chiming in here.
My wife and I are novice offshore folk, but we have a few tricks in hygiene
we like to use. Perhaps you may fine them useful.
For salt water bathing, we use Pell for shampoo. It lathers rather well
and tends to be very "drying" which counteracts the oily salt water. We
use Dawn dish liquid for body wash. Again, it lathers fairly well in salt
water and will scrub you clean of ick.
For in the head (esp. On our small boat) to save water, we use a waterless
shampoo from medical supply store. They make a body wash too but need a
quart of fresh water with that. Not as pleased with that unless you double
or triple the concentration.
That's how we do it!
