Does anyone know of a source for the latches used for the Engine Access hatches on several models?
Last year we acquired our C&C after 40 years sailing a 1936 35 foot sloop so that we can enjoy a few more creature comforts without sacrificing the performance we were used to. Having done a lot of racing etc. on a C&C 43 including a run to Bermuda the choice was a no brainer. After a great first year with her I started to service the Yanmar 4JH-HTE and found that getting at the water pump impeller was almost impossible. Since it was mounted on the port side of the engine against the only wall without a hatch. I am paranoid about servicing the impeller so I cut an access into the wall and have made a teak hatch to match the one on the other side and would like to find matching latches. -- Don Newman C&C 44
