I have the rechargeable version of this:

I like the idea of putting someone on the bow with the light, so a plug-in
was out.  I found the West branded stuff to be inferior.  The switch locks,
so it can be used as a giant flashlight when I am working in the bilge or
engine compartment.  I would not buy one without that feature.  White LED
seems to be the norm.
