Lee - It's been going on for a very long time. Remember Noah? Well, if
you look closely at a dove, you'll see 'Not to be used for navigation'
in fine print on the left side of the beak.
I'm pretty sure my sextant is not to be used for navigation. All of my
three GPS systems are 'for information only' and are not to be used for
navigation.
I'm preempted lawsuits by crew, and have labelled everything on the boat
'Not to be taken seriously, Not to be used for navigation.' I put a
label on my helm, because it's not to be used when navigating the boat.
Same with the Ritchie compass.
I won't sail with anyone until I've seen a retinal scan. In the last 20
years, the government has been doing secret DNA enhancement experiments
on embryos. The only way to know is if the inside of the eyeball says
'Not for navigation.' If you think I'm kidding, just go over to a
friend's house and shine a 10,000,000 candlepower spotlight in his or
her baby's eyes. If the child is DNA enhanced, the warning will show up
in fluorescent orange. (Or you can do like they did in Salem, and throw
them in the pool. If they drown, they're not genetically enhanced.)
