I am fortunate enough that my parents were (Still are) pretty "trendy" back in the day and the whole family got into the sailing craze of the mid / late70's :-)
My dad gave that up a long long time ago but it was far more than a fad for yours truly.. Here's little 'ol Francois circa 1978 putting "Idefix" our Jean Morin 470 on the rack for the evening right alongside with my very 1st sailboat: S/V Sabotage at our summer cottage on lake Lac a la Tortue, near Shawinigan Quebec, My 1st boat was a Sabot, I learned to sail on that at age 8 or so before the Optimists became all the rage. My sister and I must have raced the 470 a couple hundred times over the years.. Definitely my best childhood memories with my older sister. I still have it. http://s579.photobucket.com/user/JFRivard/media/JFSailboats.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0 -Francois Rivard 1990 C&C 34+ "Take Five" Lake Lanier, Georgia
