Joel - I cannot speak to Predictwind's weather routing service.
Predictwind has been my 'go to' service on the Pacific side of Mexico
for a few years.
In more than once case, I've let people at anchor know that they should
plan to be on the boat in two days, based on that little tiny red strip
that's been on the forecast for the last three days. Buy food and
Tequila now. <VBG>
Predictwind redesigned the web site about a year or two ago, probably
because of all these new ipad/anderoid/electric-cow applications, and in
the process they eliminated a couple of my essential features. I
politely complained that I really wanted to be able to save a seven day
forecast to PDF. At first, I received a stock reply telling me that
they didn't want to publish old forecasts, and that I should get
real-time satellite internet access when off shore. Since I know a
thing or two about that, I explained the *cost structure* of real-time
*graphical web* access off shore, and why I really liked downloading a
seven day forecast to pdf.
My point was 'An old forecast is better than no forecast.' Within a
week, they'd changed the web site to allow PDF downloads of the
graphics, so that I could resume my life.
And I respect that.
However, that still doesn't address the question of a weather router. I
would recommend that you talk with someone you trust and who has used
the weather router before. Because, to be honest, I don't trust anyone
when it comes to weather. And the best weather routers, like the best
cruisers, will say Eff I don't know, but this is what I think based on
my experience in that area of the planet.

Has anyone tried to use the PredictWind weather routing? It looks awesome,
but I wonder if it works.
