I am still running windows xp sp3 and I recall reading somewhere to avoid Java updates because that might be a source of attack on machines using xp now that Microsoft has stopped supporting that operating system. I like windows xp and I am familiar with using it after so many years: I don't want to change yet but when my computer bites the dust. Right now it is more than adequate for my needs, fast and stable. I continue to receive notices about Java updates but so far I have cancelled all without downloading. Can anyone here advise on that.I am not sure why I need Java but I have Javascript.I do not believe these are the same
