I need to secure the keel stepped mast to the step to comply with the offshore sailing regs. The mast sits in the base about 1.5 inches. I'm thinking of bolting 2 short tangs to the base and running a bolt or threaded rod through the mast and tangs. Luckily, the wires exit at the cabin top, so they are safe.
