Congrats on the new boat!
Don't let a water tank keep you from cruising or sailing.
Water tanks need plumbing and a pump and periodic sterilizing and winterizing.
If the water source gets tainted, you'll get that in your tank. We've learned
to just use water bottles for cooking and drinking ($4 for a 30pack) and a sun
shower for rinsing off after swimming and proper showers can be had at the
marina. You can also carry larger water containers like gallon jugs which you
can freeze in your refrigerator at home, take to the boat. Instead of buying
Ice, the frozen water jugs keep your ice box cold and become something you can
drink.

Pressurized water is on our project list, but very far down from sails, bimini,
dodger, better swim ladder, etc.

Subject: Stus-List Water tanks

Hi all,

This may seem like a trivial question but I just took ownership of a 1974 33
three quarter tonner. Going through the boat for the first time I found that
there is no water tank but it seems like there was one at some time. There is a
water fill on the deck connected to nothing and a small sink in the “galley”
just below the companionway with no drain connected. My question is: did these
boats come stock with a water tank (or option for one) and if so where would it
have been located? I would like to install one but don’t see much room except
aft below the cockpit.
