I understand that you'd loose some performance with the Tacker but it seems like it would be worth a try, it's pretty cheap and easy.
I'm definitely getting both as I want to fly the spin with my wife and kids. The Tacker eliminates the big / heavy pole, the sock takes the drama out of deploying / retrieving.
