"Like a Swan only cheaper" may have been a Baltic 39. The hull was designed by C&C and has the C&C cove stripe with the familiar diamond/star. They were built to a pretty high standard, complete with teak decks.

Twice I have seen recently repainted boats (one a Catalina, one a Hunter) who put C&C stars under the toe rail. Then there was a Taiwan knock-off (I think they bought a boat and made a mold from the hull) and I was pretty sure it was a C&C 40 knock-off but the owner assured me it was 'just like a Swan only cheaper' and so I left him to his beer.

It's good to see the original stars shine.
