I have a 91 MKII with a Yanmar 2gm20f. My gear ratio is 2.62:1.
I purchased a rebuilt Maxprop, 2-blade classic, about 10 years ago.
It was about 60% of the cost of a new one. So, you might call and inquire
about used, rebuilt units.
This prop has been a significant improvement in control vs. the fixed, 2 blade.
I picked up speed under sail, too.
Maintenance is simple, quick, and easy. Just follow their recommendations on
lube grease to use.
Installation was easy, too. If I can install it, must be really easy.
