Shift cable, throttle cable and steering shaft? I've seen a few references to drilling into the guard and running the wiring inside it, but wondered if there was more empty space in the pedestal itself? There should already be a substantial hole in the deck at that point. There is going to be a good sized bundle of wire running up with the plotter, the autopilot head, and the power for the drive unit. Is there a better place to put this stuff that I'm not thinking about? (bought a RAM mount with a clamp to the ped. guard) I'm just overthinking the install of the new instruments on our new boat and don't want to hack something up I didn't need to.
