my 3000 has operated perfectly since the 1980s ...still great....belts will wear quickly if not perfectly lined up ....for 12 plus tons off boat is great ...only downwind in rolling seas does it need manual help maintaining coarse ....sail balance is key to success....mine built in england...but very same as us built.....only wish other electric items stood up as well .....
