Hi,

I've been in the process of getting entirely new upholstery done for my 29-2 as
it was missing most cushions when I got it. Tina Morgan Designs is doing the
work. She does mostly mid-century furniture and seems very skilled. She's only
done a couple of boats before mine FWIW. I supplied her with templates for
everything based on Sailrite's instructions online. After the foam was cut, I
fit it to any little weird bumps and brought it back to have the fabric sewn
up. I'm still waiting for the final product as she has been busy and I have
little need for them until the spring.

I'm getting all new soy-based foam (supposedly mildew resistant) and went with
Sunbrella for all the interior cushions, with Sailrite's mesh fabric for the
bottom. Also got the flow through foam (forget the exact name), for two cockpit
cushions, also done with Sunbrella. And some throw pillows.

I'm not certain what the final total will end up being, based on her labour,
but have paid a deposit of $2000. Around $1000 of that went towards the foam, I
think about $800 in fabric. Tina has been very good to work with thus far and I
expect the result will be very good. That said I am hoping things will be under
$4000 all said and done...

Thought this info could be of interest to the American lister's as well since
we deal with noticeably higher prices north of the border.
