My 35-3 (1983) Edson pedestal contains a bolt that applies pressure on the part of the throttle lever inside the pedestal. I did away with an external cable clamp as the clamp had over time broken the cable outer sleeve causing the cable to rust up and jam. The downside to the bolt in the pedestal is that I have to take off the compass housing to get at it in order to make adjustments.
