One of our young engineers claimed to see one at our impoundment in So. IL
called Rend lake. He got laughed at quite a bit and earned the nickname
"gator."Some months later a ranger saw it; a 3 footer. Don't know if they
caught it or just let it die during the winter.Probably a pet release.He
