Bill, this particular fitting/time period is unique, and not standard in North 
America, why it happened, and what it is remains a mystery.

Paul – yes I recall reading that too, and had figured that the hose and fitting 
expert would identify the thread as … “male Kiwi firehose size A” or something, 
making it possible to source an adaptor.   No such luck so far.   Weird that 
they chose this style of fitting for that timeframe.          As was pointed 
out, in the end it simply makes sense to swap them out for a more available 
style though I would rather avoid that if at all possible.

If my memory serves correctly the deck fill fittings on the 33-2 were from New 
Zealand, we have replaced them all with stainless ones now on Perception, so 
North American fittings now fit the pump out. Have also done all the hoses 
......
