Thanks for the cruising update.

What did you adopt for the best round-about strategy? 
Maybe shorten up the dinghy painter before heading into it and lengthen on the 
straight-away coming out of it? That's what I do for the "narrows" around here 
:)

I think everyone has a different strategy for navigating whirpools – aka 
round-abouts.  When I see that the way is clear, I pull into it and instead of 
taking the right or left lane, I take both and go over the center line.  Even 
when I exit, I stay in the middle of the road.  The car follows the back wheels 
of the motor home and it needs lots of room.
