A post script and word of caution to others. When I posted in June about my prop shaft pulling out of coupler I was surprised how many others had experienced the same thing. I let the yard put it back together and thought all was good.
On haul out I noticed it was out about 1 inch. I pulled shaft and discovered the detents were elongated oval shaped or worse. Should never have been put back in this way. So, shaft and coupler off to machine shop specializing in shafts. I suspect a new shaft is in my future since shaft had been rotated and dimpled once before. New dripless bearing and new Cutlass bearing while at it.
So, check those connections.......
