The cockpit grate question reminds me: I have a cockpit grate from a boat owned long ago, its about 6 ft long and 18-20 inches wide, built from teak; but it sits in the garage and I've always thought it might make a nice coffee table or something similar; any ideas? suggestions? What Would I use for the base? (My wife would appreciate it being out of the garage too!)
