My spinlock deck vest has a tethered cutter in a dedicated pocket as standard equipment. Hopefully one would remember it in a panic.
My salus coastal life jacket has big pockets that contain a tethered folding knife, and a small flashlight. Both are quite well designed imo. Dave.
