I intend to go to soft shackles on my Genoa sheets. My genny sheets are several years old. I'm wondering...Once lines have been used for several years ( light use ) will doing an eye splice become harder or too difficult? I have not done an eye splice before and want to avoid shortening my sheets too much with failed splicing attempts. Any tricks on used lines?
