Picture number 5 is at the base of the stairs correct? I don't have those. As I recall the trailing edge of my keel stops just a little further forward.
If I found anything like what you are finding I probably wouldn't sleep well until I dropped the keel to do further investigation. It's considerably more work but you're also halfway there. Would you like to have to do this next year? I would want each stud cleaned and inspected down to the lead. ANY signs of anything less than perfect and I'd be talking to Mars. At least, recasting the stud. There is an option to pour molten lead in the voids which seems like the most appropriate action. Some people have used different manners of epoxy (g-flex, six10, marine-tex) injected/pounded into the keel to "re-cast" the studs. This is where Mars might be able to provide some guidance on what works best. This situation is kinda like death. I see others going through it and it makes me thankful that I'm not but also anxious that someday I probably will.
