Ron, The answer to your question is no, nothing special about the hoses or fittings. Regular hoses work fine. If they used stainless wire wrapped hose, the price jumps up higher. UV takes out the hose no matter what type. I have a hydraulic boom vang and had a sacrificial shortie made up so I didn't have to fish that hose as far. What hose did your rigger use?
