I had a similar experience last year, and posted it on this list. In my case the zincs kept the shaft in the boat. Don't ask me how, but my mechanic knows how to get the hub off the shaft to change the cutlass bearing without pulling the tranny. Dan SheerPegathyLF 38 Rock Creek off the Patapsco
