Several of the hoses on my boat that are wired, I know because I either
put them there in the first place and/or replaced them, e.g. sanitation,
exhaust, scupper, etc.....no hard or 90 deg. angle to try to
attach.....like Paul E. cut with a hack saw, trim if necessary.....I was
led to understand that these critical hoses should never get crushed,
obstructed, closed for any reason and therefore the wired hose was the
safest way to go.....harder to compress a wired to stop the flow.
As for the Y-valve, I installed one on the boat 12 years ago and would
have to go to it to find out what brand/model it was....will get there
this week and get back....been there 12 years and works fine for what
that is worth.
