50% discount get West Marine prices just slightly closer to market price.. Buy the same halyards from R&W or Defender during their Black Friday sales and still wind up 10% lower and pay no sales tax.
And neither of the above will limit the sale to “stock on hand” meaning if West runs out of 3/8” Endura during the sale, you pay retail.. Despite being in the rope biz, I try to be objective given my nephew is a West Marine store manager. But the alleged “discount” doesn’t necessarily add up to a good value when their retail prices are unrealistic. Let the shopping begin!
