I believe they produced many of this model--however, there is also a possibility that not every number used was sequential.
Some manufacturers in other fields will change the serial number when a minor change is made. Thus you might have gaps in the number sequence with some numbers not used at all so that the maximum number is not necessarily the total number of boats produced.
