I did my windows this spring with the 3M VHB tape and sealant.  I went to Arrow construction in Burnside and they no longer carried the Dow line of sealants -- but the guy at the counter showed me spec's on the Dow sealant vs the brand they now carry Pecora (895NST)-- the spec's were identical and it was only $9/tube. I used 2.5 tubes for a 30 ft boat. Windows have been perfectly dry since installation.  More than I can say for my mast!
