Pete:
My IT crew guy set up a system using our NX2 instruments. He decided to
use Sailracer instead of Nexus Race on an iPad that I mount on the pedestal.
He then installed a VYACHT WiFi NMEA2000/0183/Seatalk Router with a network
configuration of 4 x NMEA 0183 (about $180, and don’t ask me what any of that
means.) The link for the Sailracer app is:

Amongst other things, the Sailracer app is supposed to calculate our boat
speed as we’re milling around the starting line so that we hit the start
perfectly. The problem, of course, is that it does not calculate other boats
being in the way, especially boats with superior rights. I have not explored
all the other features, but I assume there are many. I do know that the app
has no problem communicating with the Nexus instruments.
