I hear you.
I may end up going down the route of paying the yard too ... naugh... just
kidding ... but I have to try to remove it without removing the shaft first ...
it might work... if the shaft has to come out and if I have to destroy the old
bearing with a hack saw then the job will likely blossom into replacing the
engine mounting flange, replacing the stuffing box, etc.
All good stuff to do for the drive shaft but it would likely mean the boat
would be late going in the water and after last year not getting to use the
boat but twice due to issues, I would really like to get back out on the water
instead of working on it all season.
I already have bunch of other projects on the list.
