To be honest, I’d rather NOT have my handrails super-smooth; a little bit of 
grip is not a bad thing.  And I’m a bit reluctant to spend a huge amount of 
time sanding in any case…   :^)

FWIW, I gave up on Cetol and I’m now using Awlwood products.
