Thinking more about this, I dredged from memory a reason why the Selden and 
Lewmar probably won’t work, but not because of the lack of a swivel.  The hole 
in the furler is 1/4” and they list the pin as 6mm which is slightly smaller.  
However, I think the issues is that they don’t count the diameter of the 
threaded portion which may be more than 1/4” such that it won’t go through a 
1/4” hole.  I will swing by Defender at some point and measure to see if this 
is true and report back (unless someone has one handy).  

I don’t ever change sails while racing, and I do not change sails frequently, 
but when I do it is because it is howling and I need a smaller genoa, and that 
is a difficult time to be on the foredeck playing with 2 sets of clevis pins 
and cotter rings, even bouncing around at the mooring.  Haven’t dropped one 
yet, but it will happen.  Also, I am usually shorthanded and I always want the 
furler available when I need it.  Dave
