This is the end of our 3rd season with Destrier, our 73 C&C30 mk1. I bought it from the second owner who had it for over 30 years. He was a high school teacher who used it to introduce sailing to his students. The original owner bought it to race and had it fitted out for sailing as they did it then I describe it as "original unrestored" condition including the original Atomic 4 which needed some rebuilding but now runs great . We sail out of the Bronx, in fact, just across "the creek" from Edd Shillay's Enterprise. The highlight has been our adventure in attending the Northeast Rendevous this year. This winter I'll take care of a couple of soft spots in the deck. I absolutely love it and this "support group" shows me I'm not alone in my passion.
