Edd:

I could have used one or your Star Trek force fields recently. A
relatively small storm front rolled through while I was out with friends (after
dark), and the 25 knot or so breeze gusted to 30+ (on the beam, of course) as
we were pulling into the slip. I ended up hitting a steel piling (small amount
of gel coat damage; nothing structural).

Does anyone have a recommendation for superior protection to place on a
piling? I have one of those wimpy cloth bumpers that strap on, but that proved
to be inadequate. All suggestions welcome. Thanks.

So it looks like Josh Muckley’s rendezvous is going to be well-attended by
C&C’ers — many more than we had over the last few years up here in the
Northeast.

I’m trying to be happy for him, but it feels more like this:

Have fun, guys — and enjoy the swag.

All the best,

Edd
